Clara turns 8!

Clara had a sleepover with 3 little girls on her 8th birthday. Everyone was supposed to come at 4pm on Friday night. At 3:45 Calvin came in crying that he had fallen off the playset in the back yard and hurt his arm. I figured it was broken by the way he was crying and holding it, but I had little girls coming over and a party to do, so I told the poor boy to sit on the couch with some ice. Well, the party started and finally Jeff was able to come home and take Calvin to the urgent care...it was indeed broken. He was home in time for a late dinner that Clara picked: lasagna, garlic bread and fruit. There were lots of games (walking relays since Clara's arm is also broken) and, of course, the infamous treasure hunt. Toria gave everyone rides on the 4 wheeler and they played out in the fort in the woods. After dinner there was chocolate cake and ice cream and a movie...the Princess and the Frog. I think the giggling stopped around 11:30pm, or I was asleep and couldn't hear it anymore!
